Drive-in racks and drive-through racks are designed respectively for last-in first-out (LIFO)  and first-in first-out (FIFO )  inventory management. Pallets are stored on supporting beam rails that are attached to upright frames and are accessed by a lift truck that drives in to the system with the load elevated to the height of the rail and placed in the selected storage location. Though drive in/through rack provides low selectivity, it provides high storage density in a warehouse by eliminating picking aisles. Drive-in and drive-through rack are ideal for storing large quantities of same kind products with long life spans and require large, one-time moves.

A drive in/through racking system may utilize more than 85% of the storehouse space and enable parts of goods be preferentially entered and withdrawn.
The load capacity for each beam level can be 800kgs to 2,000kgs.
The drive in/through racking system is good for the storage of goods of few varieties but great quantity, and a forklift is easy to run in the passage of each row.
